For those of you who watched the show Storm Chasers on Discovery Channel when it was on or if you were just interested in storm chasing you knew who Tim Samaras and Carl Young were. Well I just learned that they passed away along with Tim's son Paul on the 31st of May doing what they love which was chasing storms. These were some truly great men who dedicated their lives to better understand tornadoes and increase warning times. If it wasn't for them and other storm chasers like them we wouldn't be where we are today in terms of advanced warning times to give those in the path of a tornado more time to get to safety. You guys will be missed and my thoughts and prayers go out to their families. My thoughts and prayers also go out to the rest of the families that were affected by these storms in Oklahoma.

Discovery Channel is dedicating a show in their memory tonight that comes on at 10/9C. A link is posted below that gives more details and also gives you the opportunity to share your thoughts about Tim and Carl.
