TOO EARLY for XMAS ?

Thur morning Sept 27. Just drove past the local kmart store and saw they had their xmas trees up and lite. This is too easy for that. Remember when I was a kid many moons ago and there would be no signs of xmas until right after Thankgiving and now by the time November even gets here, I am tired of seeing all the decorations in the store. I try to just stay out of the stores now until almost December then it seems more exciting when it is closer to xmas. What do you guys and ladies think?

Costco here has been selling artificial Christmas trees, lights, and wrapping paper for over a month now.

I think that if you have paid attention, Christmas seems to be a bit earlier this year at local retail outlets. Maybe they are trying to start scooping profits lost over a bad summer or something.

Remember when Christmas came after Thanksgiving? The buildup for Halloween started in September, not August? Those were the days................

I still have to go and buy Halloween candy, if it hasn't been replaced with candy Santa Claus. This getting way out of hand on the retail end.

Retailers in general are trying to increase their profits by increasing the season. By starting christmas months early it increases the amount of money people will spend, because they have more time to spend it.

I've seen Xmas stuff out already at a few stores, including Lowe's of all places! And this is still September This has really gotten out of hand IMHO! They can't even wait for us to get past Halloween first.
I also remember, back when I was a kid, that you didn't see or hear much about Xmas 'til after Thanksgiving. Pretty soon they'll be dragging this stuff out around the 4th of July!

They can place all the Christmas stuff out as early as they want, but I will NOT buy anything until after Thanksgiving.
