True American

TRUE AMERICAN Humor! Only it isn't seen as HUMOR, but the correct American way to LIVE LIFE! If you feel the same, pass this on to your True American friends. Y'all know who they are...

1.) You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, "One nation, under God."

2.) You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.

3.) You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You still say "Christmas" instead of "Winter Festival."

4.) You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You bow your head when someone prays.

5.) You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem.

6.) You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You treat Vietnam vets with great respect, and always have.

7.) You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You've never burned an American flag.

8.) You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.

9.) You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You respect your elders and expect your kids to do the same.

10.) You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if: You'd give your last dollar to a friend.

Just a little food for thought as we go through our day, I know I sure miss the true American Freedoms, Rights, and Principles.

You might be a true Christian American but not a true American. Don't forget part of our "true American Freedoms, Rights, and Principles" is freedom of religion or lack there of. I think Thomas Jefferson was one of the truest of American and once upon a time he wrote:

"No man shall be compelled to frequent or support any religious worship, place, or ministry whatsoever, nor shall be enforced, restrained, molested, or burthened in his body or goods, nor shall otherwise suffer, on account of his religious opinions or belief; but that all men shall be free to profess, and by argument to maintain, their opinions in matters of religion, and that the same shall in no wise diminish, enlarge, or affect their civil capacities."

I do agree with some of it though.

Captain nailed this one on the head!! Only two of the entries qualify as being a "True American", #s 6 & 8. 1 - 5 are totally religous, #7 - just the opposite, and 9 & 10 go to character.

DID YOU KNOW? As you walk up the steps to
the building which houses the U.S Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in
the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view .. it is Moses
and he is holding the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?
As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom,
the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower
portion of each door.

DID YOU KNOW?
As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?
There are Bible verses etched in stone all
over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C.

DID YOU KNOW?
James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement:
"We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control
ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."

DID YOU KNOW?
Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said: "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ".

DID YOU KNOW?
Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777.

DID YOU KNOW?
Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the
colonies.

DID YOU KNOW?
Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law, an oligarchy the rule of few over many.

DID YOU KNOW?
The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said: "Americans should select and prefer
Christians as their rulers."

How, then, have we gotten to the point
that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional? Let’s put it around the world and let the world see and remember what this great country was built on.

Fine then if this great country was built on great Christian values then lets not forget what happened and how much Christ helped the lives of the original American citizenes...........The Native Americans. It was these same great Christian values that brought us other wonderful parts of American history like slavery. For every positive there is a negative.

Very true but you still can not deny what our founding fathers built the foundation of the USA on. I'm not screaming religion here just defending the principles and pointing out that America was built on Christian values. I am the first to admit that the Native Americans were and are truly victims of our fore fathers. And as far as slavery goes I don't agree with it, I wasn't around for it, and I also wasn't part of the African heads of tribes who sold there own people into slavery for beads and bright shiny object to the creeps over here that bought them to sale again to plantation owners for cheap labor. And neither group of people was the foundation on which this country was built on.
