An Update For Everyone

Hello everyone. Been a few months since I've last logged on.

Some of you may remember I had posted about I was going to sell my HHR. Well I ended up not doing that. Luckily financial aid came through, which helped me tremendously. Also, I got a new job delivering packages around campus which has a steady schedule and more hours than I was getting at Old Navy (even though it's less money per hour) so that helps a bunch too. I have to admit it was tempting seeing that the car is worth as much possibly more than what I paid for it, but I really like my car, I don't want to sell it. Plus I have a grand scheme of things... I was thinking... If I sell it I can easily drive the Lumina through college. No problem. But what happens when I'm done with school and the loans come due? Now I've got that payment. Also by that time the Lumina will be close to 20 years old, so it'll probably need replacing. Do I really want a car payment at the same time I'm starting to pay back student loans? I figure I want to get the HHR paid off, that way it frees up $200 per month before I'm done with school.

As for my personal life, like I said I got a new job at the University of Michigan Flint. It's a student job (but not work-study) so I can only work here as long as I'm a student. Oh well I guess. It's nice. I'm actually typing this at work and it's alright since we don't have anything to do until all the deliveries get here at 11 or so. So it's Facebook most of the morning!

Can't remember what I've said or haven't before I left, but I switched majors and am now going for Mechanical Engineering.

Oh, and another thing. I finally moved... I live in Flint now. I'm renting a room in a house from a friend I met online through my w-body forum (Lumina). So it's really nice living 5 minutes away from work and school. Hasn't been like that since high school!

For the most part I needed a break from the site, so that's why I haven't been here for a few months. I'll probably stick around now, but I can't guarantee. I probably won't be as active as I used to be though.

If you're still reading all this...thanks. Sorry for the length!

Thanks guys! Yeah it was a tough choice... I mean I paid $10,800 for it, and KBB says it's worth $11,800...so even if I didn't make money I could easily get what I paid. Honestly around here you don't even see them less than $10k even with 100k miles on them...
