Vandals
As I was coming home just now I notice that there are probably 5-6 mailboxes that have either been bashed in or broken off and one car window that has been broken just on my street alone. I can guarantee it's kids because there are many school age kids that walk that street, many just passing through. I pity them if they try to mess with my car. On the upside out mailbox is about 1/8 inch thick steel, I dare them to try.

They do that here every now an then at night one guy driving the car and the other hanging out the window with a baseball bat.I was thinking about making my mailbox out of 1/4" steel like to see how fast the bat comes back and hits them at 30 mph

The owner of one mailbox had two mailboxes that were removable, one for daytime use which was a regular mailbox, and another that was put out at night that was filled w/ concrete!!

I've been up pretty late the past couple nights and I thought I heard some weird noises outside the house. I grabbed the .45 and looked around but I didn't see anything. A couple nights ago my alarm beeped the warning chirps, but I may have hit the remote in my pocket but I didn't think I did. If this continues it may be time to get some cameras.

When I was a stupid 16yo kid, we took my parents car and attached a boat anchor to the receiver hitch. We were having a good old time yanking peoples mailboxes out of the ground until my friend - sitting on the tailgate - threw the boat anchor around a mailpost made out of a steel I beam. I think the 1975 Ford LTD Country Squire got the front end 4 feet in the air - as it came to a halt. The next day, with my father making us go to each door and apologizing I re-set in concrete about 10 - 15 mailboxes. I never did anything like that again. I bet today you wouldn't see that kind of parenting - where they made the kids responsible for their actions. Did I forget to mention the times I had to fill the tank on the LTD as punishment? 1 year.

I have the standard $20k+ car in the driveway and junk in the garage. I keep an eye out constantly and have been checking out every noise lol. I am thinking about getting one of those driveway beepers that beeps if the beam is broken.

get a motion light and wire it to bell or buzzer and when it goes off hit the door running Locked & Loaded and every thing is lit up to see oh and don't forget to put on some drawers unless you like to catch them off guard
