One wonders why one would ask to be banned? One could just not visit, right? Asking for a ban? - cannot resist temptation to come on and cause trouble? Ban me for me own good? Im not getting my arms around this one.

I've been a member of a lot of websites. I've been on a ham radio site since 2003.
On that site I saw a lot of members get permanently banned. Some manage to do it with as little as one post. Others had to work at it very hard. They were given a 'time out' sometimes and when the time is up they come in with their hobnail boots on tight with both guns a blazing. Then wonder why they got bounced.
I was one of the first 100 members on a photography site, when the web was still in its infancy, and I got banned for posting a picture of my daughter standing by the car we helped her buy when she graduated.
The site owner said it had to do with copyrights. I still don't see how a picture I took myself could be copyrighted by anyone but me.
I sure hope I never smeg the folks here off enough that they feel they must ban me,... ever.
