Been busy the past couple of weeks but here's what spun here -

Cliburn/Kondrashin/Symphony of the Air ~ Rachmaninoff: Piano concerto No. 3 (1958) a great performance

Various Artists ~ Easy Rider Soundtrack (1969)

Jimi Hendrix ~ War Heroes (1972)

Bob Seger ~ Smokin OP's (1972 German pressing) - smoking other people's songs (cover album) - it rocks

Various Artists ~ Zappéd (1970 Warner Bros Loss Leaders)

avant-garde artists from Zappa's Straight/Bizarre label (inc Zappa/Mothers)

Someone near me sold off most of his record collection a few months ago.
I bought over 100 NM records from him for about $2 per.
I got ~15 Stones, ~10 Beatles, Tull, Jeff Beck, Fleetwood Mac, Hendrix, Grand Funk, James Gang, Led Zeppelin, etc...

I finally got around to playing The Beatles discography Yesterday... And Today huh huh

Introducing...The Beatles (1964 authentic mono) - one of the most counterfeited records of all time

Look at this picture of them and listen to Twist And Shout...
The mild mannered looks don't match the voices belting out my favorite pre-LSD Beatles song

Meet the Beatles! (1964)

The Beatles' Second Album (1964)

A Hard Day's Night (1964)

Something New (1964)

Beatles '65 (1964 wtf?)

Beatles VI (1965)

Help! (1965)

Rubber Soul (1965)

Yesterday...And Today (1966)
If you have this album with the boys wearing lab coats with decapitated baby dolls on the cover, um, give it to me

original cover...

Revolver (1966)

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) somehow I have 2 of these in the same cover - cool

Magical Mystery Tour (1967)

The Beatles (1968)

Part 2 of The Beatles + solo stuff later...

Spent some actual $$ today @ Newbury Comix

Black Sabbath ~ Black Sabbath (1970)
Black Sabbath ~ Paranoid (1970)
Jane's Addiction ~ Nothing's Shocking (1988)

The MF sleeves seem pretty good @ $20 for 50 but I like thick paper sleeves better.

They're a little bit cheesy but they're nicely displayed

More Beatles

Yellow Submarine (1969) - only side 1 is necessary, side 2 is lame theme music from the movie

Let It Be (released in 1970 but actually recorded before Abbey Road)

Abbey Road (1969) - played Come Together on 78 speed and was attacked by chipmunks

Hey Jude (1970)

Rarities (1980) nonessential but has a few trippy jems such as You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)

Paul & Linda McCartney ~ Ram (1971)

John Lennon ~ Imagine (1971)

Wings ~ Red Rose Speedway (1973)

Ringo Starr ~ Ringo (1973)

Paul McCartney & Wings ~ Band On the Run (1973)

Wings ~ Venus and Mars (1975)

John Lennon & Yoko Ono ~ Double Fantasy (1980)

I didn't know Roger Dean did Uriah Heep covers! I might have bought their album had I known that One of my favorite artists. Right up there with Peter Max (his "real" art more than his commercial stuff).

I'll get the next one (UH ~ MB) with a decent cover to put in a picture frame.
Dean did some of the best covers out there

Pantera ~ Vulgar Display Of Power (1992 Rhino reissue 2LP)

Eric Clapton (1970)

Good Rats ~ Tasty (1974)

Howlin Wolf AKA Chester Arthur Burnett (June 10, 1910 – January 10, 1976)

I was watching The Howlin' Wolf Story – The Secret History of Rock & Roll DVD when I realized I missed his Birthday this year.

It would be nice to spin the original Chess Blues but I haven't found any yet.

I'm cranking my German pressing of I Am The Wolf (1988) and loving it

Happy Birthday Wolf and thanks for bringing it fierce

Muddy Waters from the Fathers & Sons (1969) sessions
Howlin Wolf from The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions (1971)

Jane's Addiction ~ Nothing's Shocking (1988) - I only had the cassette before - this sounds AMAZING!
