WB Loss Leaders Series ~ I Didn't Know They Still Made Records Like This (1975 2LP)
WB Loss Leaders Series ~ The Works (1975 2LP)
WB Loss Leaders Series ~ Supergroup (1976 2LP)
WB Loss Leaders Series ~ Limo (1977 2LP)
That's the lot of them (so far), 20 Loss Leaders series, and I've played them all.
I like the earlier ones best but they all have their merit.
I'm re-reading a Jimi Hendrix biography called "Electric Gypsy" so up next is a whole 'nother Experience ba-doom-boom yuk yuk.
OT - I've been playing the 5 CD studio bootleg set called "Black Gold" in my car.
If you're a Hendrix fan and can sit through 36 minutes of Hear my Train Comin' retakes and out takes then this is the set for you
.

Jimi Hendrix ~ Are You Experienced (1967) - Allmusic link
This one has the cover printed right on the board, the correct Reprise number but sounds more like The Noel Redding Experience.
The bass is very prominent and it's all sort of muddy sounding like a worn out cassette.
Jimi Hendrix ~ Are You Experienced (1967) - Wikipedia link
This one (W7) has the printed page pasted on the front board (correct but sloppy) but has a Capital number instead of Reprise.
It also has Manufactured by Capital blahblahblah on the label and the bottom of the back cover under Reprise's info.
It sounds clear and balanced. The bass, drums, voice, guitar, all sound clear, balanced & tight.
It sounds better than my 1993 MCA CD of same.
This one's obviously the keeper.
Anyone have any info on these different versions? Thanks.

More Hendrix
Axis: Bold as Love (1967)
Otis Redding/The Jimi Hendrix Experience ~ Monterey International Pop Festival (1970)
I only played the Hendrix side - This is the burning guitar Wild Thing concert you've probably seen
Electric Ladyland (1968)
Sma****s (1969) - Just Red House
The Jimi Hendrix Experience ~ Experience [Original Soundtrack] (1971 Import)
War Heroes (1972)
The Cry of Love (1971)
Band of Gypsys (1970)
Rainbow Bridge (1971)
Midnight Lightning (1975)
Still on the hunt for Hendrix in the West & Crash Landing but I think I have a good start on a Hendrix collection
