Yes, the zero stat gun is el’supremo for annoying cats. There are way to many cats here to annoy but I keep working at it.
It doesn’t seem to bother the dogs nearly as much. And yes, there are way to many dogs around her for me to annoy as well.
I am shocked to see they are still available for sale here is a site that has them.

I’m even more shocked at the price for the now. I paid $15.00 for mine in ‘79 and thought that was more than it was worth.

I scored about 400 (mostly 80's nonsense) records for $25 yesterday.
There was cool stuff in it that I'm keeping and will pass the remainder on for $150
Sometimes you're the bug and sometimes you're the windshield.
Played a few things while I was sorting it out:
Buddy Guy & Junior Wells ~ Drinkin' TNT & Smokin Dynamite (Blind Pig Records)
Various "artists" ~ Life Is Ugly So Why Not Kill Yourself - good early 80s hard punk
Suicidal Tendencies ~ Trip At Your Brain EP
Suicidal Tendencies ~ How Will I Laugh Tomorrow When I Can't Even Smile Today
Played some of mine in the house while watching hockey:
John Mayall ~ Bare Wires (1968)
Allman Bros Band ~ Wipe the Windows, Check the Oil, Dollar Gas (double live 1976)

Here's a picture of the man cave from tonight
BTW - that board blocks the running scoreboard when I'm watching reruns on the NHL channel.
I don't know how many times I saw the score from the game I was watching before I got sick of trying not to look.
I retired the Magnavox to garage-shaped man cave duty.
I dragged the stereo rack that I built out from retirement.
I also built the TV stand/record storage, the picture frame and that lil Greene & Greene table next to the right speaker.
That simple looking picture frame has perfect splined miters.
It holds a deed for "1 square inch of land in Paradise, Pa."
Yes, I actually found my own square inch of paradise
I replaced the Kenwood 3500 with my Marantz that I thought had issues but doesn't.
I added a Grado Black cartridge to the Technics direct drive linear tracking turntable I got for free.
The Sansui speakers I was using sounded rolled off so I pulled the grills and discovered that the tweets & supertweets were all dead.
50 miles round trip and $60 later and I have Klipsch 3.2s rockin the house.
Here's a pic while Black Sabbath NIB is playing
Here's the gear
The Marantz is 75 wpc and way more than enough for my small cave.
The lights are much greener than the picture.
A local Audiokarma guy said he'd solder in some LEDs for $50 when I get a spare Grant.
The CD player is a BOTL Sony that I stole for $10 somewhere. It's always performed flawlessly.
Cassette is a TOTL Denon 3 head Dolby B & C deck identical to one I used to own. It's awesome but I never use it.
My TOTL Sony 4 head stereo VCR isn't even plugged in anywhere.
That's the 50¢ tour

An eon or maybe an epoch ago I bought one square inch of Texas. I have a similar document framed in my radio shack in the attic. I bought it from an add in the back of a cartoon magazine for something on the order of 5 dollars.
If anyone ever hits oil on my square inch I’ll be rich.
My younger brother has a Marantz stereo quite similar to yours but his is the quadraphonic one, one day it took a lightning surge. I spent a lot more time trouble shooting the PC board on that rig than anyone should ever have to spend.
I’d get one section working right then the next would go tits up and I’d be at square one. Eventually I shotguned the board and got it working again. I was lucky that none of the transformers were bad.
Even using components robbed from other dead gear I had on hand it cost almost as much to make it go as buying a newer stereo would have.
I put the new light blue but supposedly white high brightness LED’s in my Pioneer SX-850 a few years back. As I recall the original dash lights for it were an odd voltage and made of unobtainium. I measured the voltage put in a full wave bridge of diodes to change the AC to DC then did the math to come up with the right resistor to drop the voltage down to where the LED’s can handle them.
You only need 1 to 2 volts at a few milliamps to fire a string of LED’s I also put in a potentiometer so I can dim the panel lights if I want. Naturally once I was finished I wished I had put the dimmer knob on the front of the radio but have not bothered to take it apart and move it yet.
