The Groove and the Beat...I kinda' like those two...I could consider either of them for purchase, except for the Groove diesel power...I work for Caterpillar Diesels go in big tractors and big trucks...hahaha. I will give GM credit for trying to think ahead and still give us a bit of style too...

It's funny to compare the American and European car markets, as they are so different! You wonder why NA doesn't get the "cool" small cars? Here is the answer.
The top ten selling vehicles for 2006 in the US (from MSN autos):
Ford F-Series (796,039)
2. Chevrolet Silverado (636,069)
3. Toyota Camry (448,445)
4. Dodge Ram (364,177)
5. Honda Accord (354,441)
6. Honda Civic (316,638)
7. Chevrolet Impala (289,868)
8. Toyota Corolla (272,327)
9. Nissan Altima (232,457)
10. Chevrolet Cobalt (211,449)
The top ten selling vehicles for 2006 in Europe (also from MSN autos):
1. Vauxhall/Opel Astra: (437,673)
2. Renault Clio: (431,595)
3. Ford Focus: (418,490)
4. Volkswagen Golf: 9417,894)
5. Fiat Punto: (401,022)
6. Ford Fiesta: (353,296)
7. Volkswagen Passat: (331,414)
8. Peugeot 307: (306,558)
9. Volkswagen Polo: (294,762)
10. BMW 3-Series: (289,053)
The US just doesn’t buy small cars. The Civic, Cobalt, and Corolla are compacts – not subcompacts. Why would you spend a pile of dough to bring a car to a market that doesn’t want it?

I should add that there is the whole "if you build it they will come" argument, but how much money would you be risking?
It would be nice to have these cars, but it has to be financially sound for the automakers.
