Well, I hate to tell you this but.....

I traded my HHR today. Hated to do it, but I needed something more practical for lugging stuff, and engaging the steep hills in Worcester County (TomsHHR can attest to the hills), especially during snow and ice storms. At least I bought something with a bowtie on it. Picked up a used 2006 Silverado extended cab. Good shape, low miles and four wheel drive. Now I'll be able to get around through most anything, and more importantly, get my daughter to Holy Cross, waaaayyyyyy up on College Hill.

I had a lot of fun with the HHR, and because of it, I met some really cool folks. Don't worry, I'll still be around here. Somebody has to keep you guys on your toes!

sorry to hear you traded it in. I know that 4 wheel or all wheel drive is something that i wish the HHR had. I used to have a 4x4 blazer, but it was costing too much in gas. Have fun with the Silverado.

Hey John, I'm sure you got that Silverado for a good price. Should of kept the HHR as a spare.

Now you "could" get an '09 SS for the summer... and still use the truck in winter. Sometimes the HHR itch never lets ya' go... I was in Ludlow when Hanna's rains came through, I'm sure the snow on the hills in the winter would need the 4x4. Chevy rocks

Congrats on the trade!! Silverado is a nice truck for sure...if my commute was not 100 miles per day I'd have one

I've been thinking of changing my ride up as well.....I'm not 100% convinced that the HHR will last the life of the loan given the miles I rack up.......to clarify..I think the Ecotec will run forever..I'm not so convinced of the rest of the car though lol

Good luck, I know the hills that you speak of well!

I hear ya! I love my HHR, but there are times when you just need more hauling capacity.

I sure am glad you didn't blame the hills on me.. This means I got to get back there again any ways to talk some firefighter shop with you and Da Wife.

Just let me know when you are coming. Those hills you drove around......imagine them at 3:00 in the morning during a snowstorm.....wait....you're from Wisconsin! You don't need an imagination!
