Found some test results from Motor Trend and Edmunds for 0-60 times in both manual and automatic.
HHR SS 6.3 seconds manual trans. 7.5 seconds automatic trans.
Challenger R/T 5.5 seconds manual trans. 5.9 seconds automatic trans.
The HHR figures are for a stock unit, couldn't find anything published on the Stage 1 modified units. I'd think a well driven stock SS would be a match for the Challenger and a Stage 1 SS would probably be able to pull it quite nicely off the line. There is a big weight differential between them, the Challenger is a big car at 4,041 pounds, the SS comes in at only 3,280 pounds. I'm not going to drag against an SS, I have nothing to prove, the Challenger is just a fun and fast cruiser.
