The Boston light one is a sixteen minute exposure at ISO 50 on my Canon 1DMKII 8 MP DSLR.
This was the first digital camera that allowed me to actually shoot like I did with film.
A 15.8 minute exposure. Canon 1DMKII. ISO 50, 70-200L2.8 IS at 200MM F10. No filter.
A fairly long burn with Noise Reduction on, so it took over 30 minutes to do. I still had a few black pixels to clone out, but the result was acceptable. A bit of Noise Ninja as well.
Cropped from 8 MP rectangle. I found the shot called for the pano look.
It was foggy and I could only see the beacon and a few light glows on the left. This was over a mile off shore.
The scenes was in total darkness except for the moving beam, so I figured out a time that got an image that would not exist otherwise. Glad you like it.
The other
Wooden Bridge Ashland NH USA
Canon 5D 24-70 L Canon lens ISO 100 at 70mm shot in Canon RAW format
F11 280 seconds. Merged with another at f11 sixty seconds. Tone mapped, a little cloning of the star trails. Slight ghost boating due to longer exposure times and moving objects.

I've got three now and I just got a small Panasonic LX3 for an everywhere camera since it shoots RAW, has a fast lens and optical stabilization.
Cameras are fun toys and tools.
I modded one Canon to shoot infared only. Here's an infared panorama from it:
