Too many pets here in our family...Brittany is the black Chow Chow you see to the left. She's 9 or 10, rescued in 2001. Zephram is the fawn Pug you see sleeping on top of her. He's now 1 1/2, also a rescue. Not pictured is Maggie Mae, our newest rescue, a black Pug who came to use in January 2007. She's 6 or 7. Than there is Jasmine (Jazzy) 4yr Solomon Island Eclectus, Kazoo, 2 1/2 yr Goffin ****atoo, Christopher Robin, ancient Lovebird, and Sky, 3 month old English Budgie. Anya is an unknown age Russian Dwarf hamster. She was rescued from an awful situation and will live out whatever time she has here. Than there is Baby, 3 1/2 year old Gerbil, but it looks as though Baby won't be with our family much longer. :-( Pepsi is his almost 3 year old daughter, his last surviving baby. Oh, and can't forget the cranky Betta fish, Denny Crane. I think that's it....

Well I have less pets today than I did yesterday. While performing my weekly 50% water change in my aquarium, I added water about 10 degrees colder than water in the tank, and killed 6 of my 13 fish. I didn't realize my son was taking a shower after i had the temp at the right level, so it changed as I was adding the water. My cherry barbs and all but one (the largest and oldest) tiger barbs started swimming on their sides in a circle. Lesson learned, always check the temp of every single bucket to make sure it is the same temp as the water in the tank. It doesn't take much of a difference to wipe out your fish.
