More than one Stitch in my house now ...

Saturday came and went, and with it came into our house these little beauties:

Individually, let me introduce them:

LILO

and, yes ...
STITCH

They're two year old siblings, adjusting to living in a house again rather than a cage. Ain't they cute?

My Dog Tofy

My dog Tofy is now 15 1/2 years old and is having a tough go of it. He is pretty much blind - can only see about a foot or two in front of him and what he sees, no one knows. He is totally deaf and is on heart medication.

We have to give him his meds in liquid form by chopping them up and feeding with a syringe. His food is ground up in a blender and I hold him as he eats. At night, I sleep upstairs with him on the bed with some lights on, as the lights seem to make him calmer as he goes to sleep.

This is a very difficult time for all of us. He is in no pain and is extremely happy - just disoriented. We hold him constantly and I don't know who gets more joy from holding him - us or Tofy.

We know we are on borrowed time. We enjoy every moment we can with him.
