The HHR seems like it would be a good vehicle for dogs, don't you think? I used to have a German Shepherd, and we would always take him to the vet in our Impala, but then he would get hair all over the seats. In a HHR, you could stick him in the way back, and have someone sit in the back seat to keep him company.

Mao, our siamese cat is pretty self sufficient, but talks alot. She also opens latched doors in the house inward in order to go from room to room. We have lever type doorknobs which makes it easier for her to "jump and pull".

She sleeps on the dash of our motorhome for miles upon miles, but watch out when you turn on the defroster fan (my wife yells at me when I do it, but it's really funny to watch). The cat freaks out when she feels the air from the windshield ducts hitting her (doesn't hurt her in the least, though).

That's funny! My cats absolutely hate riding in the car. Whenever we have to take them to the vet, they cry and meow and claw at the seats, and they are just very unhappy. When we get to the vet and there are dogs in the lobby, then they get even more upset. Poor cats...

We have owned quiet a few animals.

California King Snake, Bearded Dragon, Fancy Rat and Fish.

When you have teenage boys they want the weird pets, LOL

We had a Dachshund named Oscar for 7 years. He passed away on Christmas Eve last year. We have a cat now named Jackson. I told my boys after Jackson passes on no more animals.

Our cat Jackson who is part bobcat.

Our dog Oscar who passed away last year. He had cancer

MJ- Sorry to hear about Oscar.. He has such a soulful look in his eyes..

We have lost our share of pets too. Never gets easier. Last was our Russian Blue adult-cat, named Dusty.

They do indeed become part of the family.
