I used to be a big fan! But, in my opinion, Natalie Maines is out of control and has permenantly damaged the reputation of this group. I refuse to spend my hard-earned income on their music anymore, no matter how many Grammys they win. I was surprised by the results last night. Our local country station still refuses to play their music. Gives us Carrie Underwood any day!

 

What did she/they do that was so terrible? I could care less either way. They used their celebrity to make a political statement, so. Lots of celebrities do it. Especially Actors/Actresses.

 

Like em now, liked em then, liked em before then! They're just musicians!

 

Dixie Chicks. Hmm, never cared for them. Still don't. Turn radio off anytime they come on. I guess you can say I've never liked them anyways.

It's funny you should start this thread now. The Chicks are playing now from my itunes library!
My position of them has never differed. I have always liked them.
Their politcs don't affect their music. But they happen to run pretty close to mine.

 

They did nothing different than a lot of performers would have done. Look at all the Rap/Hip Hop (and yes I like rap and hip hop) performers. The Chicks just said what most of the country now is thinking. Look at the approval ratings for Bush. You got to admit, they have beautiful music.
