Like most, mine comes up from the basement out of a box. I change the ornaments every year that I put on. Sometimes I put on the handmade wood toys and such I got from when I was in Germany, some yrs I put on the hand blown glass ones that my Grandmother brought from CzechoSlovakia and ohter years i put on the trational balls.

lol, one year me and some buddies made one out of beer bottles that were laying around a friends house. glue the bottles together, brown on bottom for the trunk, clear on top for the tree, drill some holes for lights and voila

never give drunken rednecks powertools

My brother and his roommates two years bought a tree and decorated it with beer cans and bottles, those crazy kids!

He was disappointed last year when I wouldn't let him put up decorations on my tree.

Target baby...

If I could find a small tree that opened like an umbrella with all the decorations already on it I would buy it in a minute

Real tree? No thanks...looks like a mob hit a week after Xmas with all the trees tossed on the side of the road

Is there no tree recycling program in your area? Up here we have tree drop off locations. They pick up the tree, take it to a chopper and turn it into mulch and such which is used at parks and the zoo and for whatever other purposes.

I'm sure there is but that doesn't stop some folks from tossing them in a ditch on the side of a road, hence a mob hit

Got a revolving Martha Stewart Kmart tree last year - hope she still turns after a year in the shed!

Oddly enough, we are also going to put up a festive pole... we have toy/kiddie/red/green type ornaments and pretty pastels/earth tones - so this year, I'm designing a POLE tree out of a drilled lodge pole and dowels, LOTS of dowels. If I Dremel a notch in the dowel, I can tie the ornaments all on with matching ribbon, and they won't slide. It could be cool --- could be the ultimate of tacky.
