I am unemployed! Yippie....by my choice!

I am unemployed! Yippie....by my choice!

After the company moved, I commuted 166 mile round trip each day for 16 months. Waking up at 3:30 AM to get to work and getting home after 4:30 PM left not much time for anything else. That drive in the van pool claimed yet another victim. I couldn't do it anymore.
I'd been with the company for 15 years, it was tough to leave my co-workers that became good friends but man-oh-man, I sure feel relieved today, no more driving!
Leap day 2008 is my new Independence day!

I'll be refining my entrepreneur skills on eBay. I did very well a few years ago and am picking it back up again.

Mr. B retired from Roadway Dec 1st 2007 but is still a slave to the ~Domestic Goddess~

I am in the Customer Service WARRANTY department doing what I love, fixin' stuff. You break it, I fix it! (and yes, even with those fingernails!)

Mr. Bumpstops works for Roadway Express, dock, fork lift operator since 1978.
And at home, jack of all trades, master some and slave to the Domestic Goddess!

I work at Wells Fargo but in three weeks I am starting at Netflix. More money and better hours I am a student as well so my job choice always factors in that I need to take classes and Netflix will work very well with that. I am trying to get into my College's Radiography program so I can work at a hospital and make good money and feel goood about what I do for a living....
By the way working at a bank sucks balls... it is all pure b.s.

Since I wrote this, I started a second job at Buffalo State College, doing writing tutoring for students. (YES! One semester to go after this and I have my degree, ADT!!!)

That sounds similar to what some of the folks I deal with have to do to get to work at the Renaissance Center in Detroit each day.

An hour and a half on a bus each way, every day. Insanity.
