well timing is everything, as of this coming friday I'll be doing nothing, yup got laid-off...I've already had an interview in Boston, it went well but I have not heard one way or the other....

I'm a Mechanical Designer, been designing disk drivers for the past 20 years for Digital then Quantum then Maxtor (who just got bought up by Seagate)....I live in between Boston and Worcester, so anyone out there know of a possible job lead drop me a line and I will forward you my resume, for folks that work in this field, I've got 10+ years of PRO-E and I've got a few years of Solidworks under my belt (these are 3d modeling cad tools)...positive vibes can't hurt !

Hubby has his own business selling electronics components, so I do his accounting a few times a week. I still do hair on the side, whenever I feel like it, lol, and I am Mommy to a very busy 11 year old daughter. So I have several jobs!

Dang......

Was hoping to see someone say "retired".

I am retired (early and fortunate) from GM Product Engineering where my last responsibility was in the Purchasing Group acquiring competitive vehicles for testing. Other responsibilities required outsourcing seasonal labor contracts and negotiating advanced research projects with universities/companies around the world.
