I was hoping that the Suzuki Samurai would make this list, just for S's and G's. Everyone said it was a POS when I bought it new back in '87, but here it is today, 23 years later and still going strong.

Story sound familiar? (hint: Starts with an H and ends with an R)

I expect that I'll have my other unique vehicle (HHR) this long as well.

I had two Vegas, three if I count the wagon body I put on my Scout. I had a 71 panel wagon and a 73 Estate Wagon. I wish I had kept the panel wagon as it was rare. A friend of mine wanted it badly and I found a 69 Corvette so I sold it for a good profit. My friend had it for three weeks and got rear ended as he sat at a stop light and it drove him into the vehicle in front of him. It was a total loss and he made a profit on it too.

Strange how both the Corvair and Vega were Motor Trend Car of the Year, Vega twice as it was also named in the Monza version. It's in great company with the Omni-Horizon, Chrysler K cars, Renault Alliance and Ford Probe.

Pacer was "Car of the Year". I still love the SSR. Had a Vega and never had any trouble with it. I also liked the Corvair. Some of these cars get a bad rap and everyone gets on the bandwagon. True, some were really bad, but the Airflow was so far ahead of its time.... so was the Edsel - push button shifting, really deluxe features - it honestly just got a bad rap. And who among us wouldn't love a DeLorian or a Bricklin?

I know most of us don't appreciate the looks of the Chrylser, Plymouth and Dodge Airflows, as the PT Cruiser was a knock-off, but look at some of the old photos of those cars - they were so far advanced in function and looks.

By the way, one of the guys I work with mentioned that there were actually cars with electric vent windows - how's that for power everything?

Prowler was cool, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why they didn't ever put a 318 in it...that car just screams v8. 3.5=turd

1995 Explorer???? One of the best selling vehicles of ALL TIME. I think they are kinda goofy, but there are certainly worse cars.

But it didn't last..
Chip Foose was involved in the design, but was not able to speak about it..

Interesting that both the Prowler and the SSR made the "worst" list. Think this idiot writer has it out for retros and hot rods? Has "geek" written all over his face.

I had 2 Toyota truck rust apart in no time from the frame, up; inside out, even with meticulous care, but you'd never see these on the list.

My first Car 1975 Chevy Monza Coupe (Vega power train and floorpan). Starter solenoid gave me intermittent problems. Always had a screwdriver for those times which I woud use to short the terminals on the solenoid to start the car. Man that engine compartment had lots of room to work in everything was accessible - not like todays 4 bangers with the wiring, smog equipment.

But alas it was a rust bucket bad case of rust around the windshield and under the ....gasp vinyl top (ooh how 70's). One night I used it to go off roading and broke the floor pan at the point where the right lower a-arm connected. Had it repaired/welded with a steel plate for $200. Problem was we never compensated for the difference in wheelbase compared to the normal left side. Had a permanent right pull.

Eventually the aluminum engine gave out at 36000 mi. Sat in my Garage for a year until a Neighbor who's sons had a hobby of dropping V6's & 8's into Vegas offered me 800 cash for it...

Chevy Citation. Not just because I was 13 and forced to move across the country in one, in a Griswold-esque road trip that culminated with a river raft trip with NO navigator on which I got sunburned AND wound up with the army-issue wool lined sleeping bag - misery! Nor is it the worst because I flunked my driving test in it. . . twice. It was just ugly and the jingle. . Chevy Citaaaaaaaaation. Plus the name - a citation is a ticket! Well my rant is over. I hated that car.
