2.4 Timing Chain

I have 243k on my ‘06. When should I replace the timing chain?

Probably any time now... Don't wait for it to fail, you will need a new engine if it does.

Take the cam cover off, if the chain has any slack it is time. If you can see damage to any of the guides it is time. If the plastic bit is missing on the top guide it is time.

WOW ...

You've Got My Interest .... and I'm sure there's others as well.

Are you the Original owner?

What Oil and filter do you use and how often do you change it and the filter?

How would you classify your driving habits?

HHR 2.4 2006.
It seems that I also missed the replacement period ...
on the speedometer 175,000 ..
I decided to make a purchase, but strangely - in most sources the chain set is the same for 2.0 / 2.2 / 2.4 engines.
Is this really true? One set for any engine size?

I am the second owner. I change the oil when the car says to. I drive mostly interstate. I was a car salesman and sold it to the original owner. I told him if he ever wanted to sell it to let me know. He is a good friend and he called when he was ready to sell. I got it with 119k. Great vehicle. It’s a spring edition.
