2.4 timing chain interval?

My 2008 with the 2.4 has 140,000 miles on it, I'm getting no CEL since changing the cam actuators, but I'm curious as to what mileage the chain usually lasts. I don't particularly want to wait for a code to change it out. I'm not currently hearing any noises. I plan to swap it out this summer since I do not know if it has ever been changed.

I would look at it ever 50,000 miles after 100,000. If there is any visible slack between the sprockets it will need changing.

I have found around 120,000 to 150,000. Mostly a stretched chain or a broken front guide and or guide bolts.
It’s much easier to just change the chains , sprockets and guides as preventative maintenance, then reconstruction of a damaged engine! Bent valves aren’t fun to change, neither are damaged pistons.

What damage could a piece of plastic do in the sump? It is dense enough to not float and is obviously high heat tolerant and would not block the pick up screen.

The only reason I can think of to pull the pan would be to check for metal fragments maybe? Dunno, I wouldn't worry about plastic either. I expect it was so the shop would have it's 'assets' covered in case of engine failure after the repair.
