Dark Angel Wax application take 3. This time I had a full cloudy weather and more importantly I did use a very, very, very light amount of the wax, barely visible to the eye without light, and I had to wait only 2-3 minutes and I buffed with a kurkland microfiber. It was very easy to remove. I am not a phone user and only have an old camcorder but this is the picture I have for you (in case someone might be interested in the dark angel product). The spare tire is installed because the HHR is under repair to fix a brake fluid leak. What I can say is, for me, the Simoniz platinum wax seems to provide a mirror like effect, while the dark angel product gives a dark gloss. I do like both products. It's a matter of taste

Been watching hundreds of results and so far another product that really caught my attention is the made in japan Soft99 Fusso Coat, leaning more toward giving a metallic gloss :

Water beading seems up there with the best :

I believe almost anything will pass the beading test if you know how to perform it. I've used it to show off Zaino, impresses people but what you should care about is what it's like 3 months after you put it on unless you like waxing your car all the time. Lots of ways to make a car look got for the hour it takes to make a video. I was demoing Zaino on the worst swirled black car I'd ever seen, but in the pictures I took that car looked beautiful. Bad enough that the first coat of Z5 turned it kind of cow patterned, sort of half black and half still grayish from the swirls. but the camera didn't see it. And while I like and sell Zaino, I just want to point out you can't trust what you see in videos people make to promote their products. Believe what people you trust say or what your experience tells you.

I agree it's better to validate the product by looking at results from real customers. The soft99 product is well known and commonly used among enthousiasts.

I just received the wolfgang quick detail spray, it does what it says in terms of getting the surface ultra slick. As for the gloss, it does add a little extra shine, for the better or not I can't really say. At that point I don't really know what I can do to improve the look of the HHR. In my opinion I will have to either try a very aggressive compound to get all the deep imperfection removed, or call it a day and just maintain the coating with what I already have at hand.

Lots of other products but I am not sure I want to enter this rabbit hole.

Autofinesse ultraglaze (made in UK) seems to give sort of a vinyl wrap look to the car :

Anyone know the original product used to glaze and/or seal HHR paintwork when they were manufactured?
