any recommendations for car wax?

Any glaze or sealer was sold to the purchaser in the back office were they up sell you, floor mats , mud guards , paint and polish, rust proofing, gizmos and gadgets. Then you get your car with a fresh squirt of spray wax from the touchless car wash they have in the service Bay Area. There wasn’t anything applied to the paint finish at the factory.
where’s the fun and profit in that!

The silverwax paste was as hard to find as a discontinued product. I bought it online from a local store, all the other stores were out of stock. I don't know how much of the dark angel wax is left here, I did not polish the surface, neither prep the surface, I went ahead and just applied the product following instructions. I did give it more time to dry given the huge humidity outside. Worst day of the summer. This is a hard paste wax compared to the creamier dark angel wax. It seems that there is enough wax for perhaps 50+ wax application in my opinion. Maybe more. It's hard to see the difference with the camcorder given different light setting depending on the weather and time of the day. But I am satisfied with the result. The product works as said, it gives the car paint good depth and shine and also seems to have better synergy with the curves of the HHR. It seems to me some wax flatten the look of curves. Silverwax does a good job enhancing them.

That's funny because I have tried guitar wax on the old HHR. I think it produced sort of a warm moderate gloss. It did not really work with the overall appearance of the car though. But my guitar looks great. I have used the exact same products found in this video:
But I am interested to see some results with bowling alley wax. Any picture?

Remember a neighbor when I was a kid used only Lemon Pledge on his 1969 green Chevelle. That car was mint.
He would go to the car wash, park outside & get his creeper out the trunk & go underneath to wipe the underside down.

Show car guys used Pledge back in the day... Looks nice, doesn't build up, but it doesn't last either.

I've been watching this thread cus while I'm not trying to get a show car gloss... I've been giving some love to my 78 G20, I mean, it's 43 yr old paint, I'm not expecting much....
my dad was a Nu-Finish guy, but I know opinions on that are hit and miss... a fellow vanner hit a couple spots on it with TurtleWax Color Back and it came out decent... but I guess they don't make that anymore? I can't find it anywhere (including their website)
