What is the best (or a premium) oil filter to use on a 2010 SS?

Really it’s your preference, I prefer Fram , or AC Delco. Others might suggest K&N or Wix, maybe Mobil .
the BlackSwan isn’t an SS but I do install either Fram for synthetic oil Ultra Synthetic XG 9018 or AC Delco PF457G

My daughter took her Cruze in for a CEL - turns out it was the valve cover gasket. The mechanic noticed a serious amount of sludge and said even though she changes the oil regularly, the mechanic stressed with GM small engines you need to change the oil a lot more often than recommended by GM and a quality filter is a must. With that in mind, I went ahead and ordered the AC Delco PF458G which includes the filter, cap and o-ring (as recommended by Firemangeorge) from RockAuto. It’s only a few dollars more and worth the piece of mind and I think I’ll go to a 3,000 mile schedule.

3,000 is a little to often, considering synthetic oil will last 10,000 miles, I stick to a schedule of every 6 months.
the first of April , then the first of October. This way I have fresh oil for our trip to Florida and then Cape Cod.
and it works out to approximately 5,000 miles . Time to check and clean the brakes , inspect the suspension, change tires.

I went to the WallyWorld clearance rack and found 4 (or so, it was awhile ago) Mobile 1 filters for $1 each. Woot! Do that.
