My 09, 2LT, turned 5 in March. I had a coolant change and it only had 25800 at the time. I go by the book.

 

Go by the book, I didn't and I might have come close to ruining the engine. Last month I saw another thread with this subject and it made me realize a coolant change was way overdue. (2008 - 80,000) I had the 100,000 mile limit in my head and was just waiting for that.

So, went to the Chevy dealer and had it flushed and new Dexcooled. Luckily, they could find no evidence of any damage done to the engine or cooling components after 6 years.

 

I know I've said this before in other posts. Fluids are cheap, the componant that fails will not be.
