Thanks riverwind... Yes...there is a reason I used Meguiar's...I could buy it at an auto parts store and didn't have to order it online.

Thanks, I'm anxious to wax mine. I'll look around town next week and see if I can find a decent wax and maybe even the Meguiars clay bar.

Clay bar results

Recently I purchased meguiars clay bar kit and today I tried it out. This was my first experience with a clay bar, and I'm very pleased with the result. I also repaired some paint chips, and used meguiars ultimate detail after the clay bar and here are the results, along with my special assistant

Looks great Doug!

I've got that same kit and am going to be using it this week. Any suggestions?

I haven't used a clay bar on the HHR yet but have in the past on other cars. Make sure you keep the vehicle surface wet with the spray solution, and only to a small area at a time. Fold the clay bar over after every section and need it out flat again. If you frop the bar on the ground defianatly fold and need it! Take your time and you'll end up with a superior shine if you clay and wax

The clay bars kits are awesome for cleaning the clearcoat, be sure to keep the area your working on nice and wet with the spray they give ya with the kit, orelse you could scratch the clearcoat. Meguiars products are very good and Mothers also has a Clay bar kit that I've used with terrific results. Just remember you DO need to apply a good coat of real wax ( not that spray on stuff) after useing the clay bar as it removes your wax to clean under it. The Meguiars Quick Detailer is an incredable and easy spray wax (gloss inhancer) for in between waxing. I was shocked by it's results the first time I used it
