Cutting bolts off and removing adhesive residue; What do you use?

I use rubbing alcohol all the time.
Be sure to get at least the 70%
It comes 50% .. 70% .. 91%
It is a step or so under Acetone or Lacquer thinner .
Your poly clear coat finish on the HHR will withstand it without damage but I would go easy on putting heavy pressure when rubbing.

Decided to go with the 3M VHB PT1100 45 MM thick and 1/4 inch wide; Appearance wise it is nearly identical to the stock tape that came on the spoiler itself. This stuff is used in industrial application to replace rivets and screws. It may be a while, but when I install I will update the thread for future search inquiries.
