Dumb question perhaps?

This may have been covered in another thread, if so I apologize, I tried a couple of searches and came up empty.

My 2006 HHR with a 2.2 has a "drive by wire" throttle, correct? That being the case, is there any way to manipulate the throttle OTHER than using the gas pedal (in other words, while working by yourself with your head under the hood)?

Thanks

Steve

A TechII scanner is the only other way. The lovely assistant route is the cheapest.

MY lovely assistant is NOT CHEAP. But I love her just the same (even if it does cost me)

If a "lovely assistant" is unavailable, a friend or buddy who works for beer or burgers will do in a pinch.

So the answer is "no" - ok - figured as much

I have a lovely assistant - but she's short on patience - as for helpful friends - they're all older than me - so a lack of physical connection between the throttle and gas pedal (absent electrons) would only serve to confuse them ...

thanks

Steve
