Hub Bearing question

Hub Bearing question
So my HHR has the roaring sound coming from the front, gets a little worse when you turn right, gets a little quieter when you turn to the left. First off, which side probably needs to be replaced? Second, my car is a NO ABS car, will the hub bearing fit mechanically from a ABS car? Reason I ask is a friend has a totaled Cobalt sitting in his driveway, can I take his ABS hubs and put them on my NO ABS HHR? Maybe just cut the ABS harnesses off the hubs?
Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks, Mike

Thank you for the response....
Now can anyone help me with which one needs to be replaced? Like I said I have a roaring noise as Im going straight down the road, make a left it gets quieter, make a right and it gets louder....which bearing would that be?

If you believe that the sound is amplified when you turn right and weakens when you turn left - your right bearing are a problem. This is obvious, defect is more pronounced with increasing load.
But thorough inspection. In 2003 I replaced the fault-free bearing are due to aerodynamic noise.
Regarding the lack of ABS - a guy from Iraq (a member of this forum) install "abs hub" for his "without abs" car. He reported that no problems.
