Input Speed Sensor Location

I been trying to find where it's located and haven't been able to find any information on its location. Does anyone here have any ideas or a picture of its location I need to replace mine.

From a distant memory........

I believe it's on the passenger side of the transmission, near the output shaft.

Slap me if I'm wrong !!

A good place to look would be an Online GM Parts catalog. Gmpartsoutlet.net, nalleygmc.com are a couple. they have diagrams and part numbers.

1st post says input. 2nd says output. So which is is ? Also, do you have a 5 speed or auto ?

Fwiw. I think Snoopy's reply is correct about the location being by the output shaft.
I looked the part up and Autozone had a pic showing it in that spot.

Got the GM part number which is 24218077, but no location or diagrams. Oh my fault for not saying it clearly the one on the output shaft is the output speed sensor(already found that one on the vehicle not the one i need ), and I am looking for the input speed sensor -> http://www.autozone.com/engine-manag...008_2633_1277/

Auto
