As the title says, I just hit 50,000 miles. What maintenance should I do on my 2009 HHR SS to keep her going right?

You are assuming I got an owners manual when I bought my car used. I didn't. That is why I asked.

The dealer did a transmission flush on mine (not needed until 100K, unless driven in severe conditions). I do most of my maintenance after that. Air cleaner filter.. Mostly inspect fuel line, exhaust for damage and leaks.

Then you need to download one either from GM itself, or use the SEARCH tool at the top and find the thread here which has links to them.

Are you suggesting that nearly ever bit of information is available on the Internets? And that you can use search tools with no help?

I do remember in the 80's there was a job description for people who sat around searching the internet for a fee. Google destroyed an entire industry.

they dont offer older manuals any more.
but I am going to change air cleaner filter and tranny oil in 50 000 miles.
Only because its a recommendation and i want to play safe since we have tow hook.

but has anyone touched the purge valve in emission systems? its due to check at same time according maintenance schedule. And the 100 000 miles for spark plugs is also quite long time...
