The K&N HP7000 is the oil filter I'm using. It's the 2nd best oil filter, only bested by the Amsoil EaO but Amsoil doesn't currently offer an EaO for this application.

I purchased them from Amazon.com for $10.36 each to the door.

The Purolator Pure One filters better than the overpriced Amsoil, KN, and M1 filters for about half the price.

There's no "seat of pants" difference you're going to see from an oil filter. Filter efficiency tests are fairly sophisticated. I would not recomment a Fram under any circumstances. While I strongly dislike "boutique" filters and their hype, Fram has become corporate garbage. As cheaply made as they know how, to squeeze out every penny of profit. Lots of cardboard and other shortcuts in manufacturing.

So with my truck @ 126k miles on it, what would be the better filter? Back to more baffles like the K&N? Btw, I'm using the Castrol GTX Extended Mileage 5w30, and not had a problem.

I am not running stock. I have more than a handful of bolt ons, including cam.

Buy the name brand filters that aren't stamped "MADE IN CHINA". This one went 300 miles and took out a $5000 engine.

And if anyone jumped in on the deal I posted here, they'd have been PAID $17.xx to take 2 of the Pure Ones. I have a pair sitting on the shelf, awaiting future oil changes.
