We did, but why would it stay on, and/or blink 3 times at a certain interval?

Check the parts about the theft deterrent system. On mine the light flashes after I lock the doors with the fob until I unlock with the fob (all night long), presumably to scare thieves away.

I think there is a "valet" mode.

still working as i described. I did use a THICKER tin foil the last time.

and yes i went thru that doors locking unlocking via glueing, that is why i made a larger patch, that fits the cavity.
