I wasn't talking "fault", I was talking "operation". Sounds to me like it may be operating as designed.

The finance company did not send a signal, but the car is disabled. The dope at the finance company has no idea how the thing works, just that he call somebody to send a "kill" signal.

Therefore, the finance company is not the place to inquire about why the car is disabled.

Ok guys its not the gps, this fool hands me a Omega IM06 box, which I read is my car alarm...OMG, and a XCRS 500M, which I read is a remote car start, he brings me in the office talks to the GPS owners and finance companys and bets his life on it that this is the problem lol, they had my car running last night I drive all the way again from Duluth to Devils lake, THEN HE CALLS AND SAYS BAD NEWS CAR ISNT GIVING US NO POWER AGAIN. EVEN THOUGHT WE TOOK 2 GPS BOXES OUT. I don't know what to do, I got charged 350 to take out my car alarm and my remote starter. Any suggestions guys?!?! The finance company is still making contact with the GPS, so its still hooked up in the car so its not the problem considering they had it running and driving last night. So I got all these charges for getting the GPS out and its not the problem

How much other after market crap are you going to get around to mentioning? That's 3 or 4 depending on the counting.

When after market stuff gets added to cars you cannot expect any dealership to figure things out. It is not their stuff! Not in their "book". Voids warranties.

And this is not the first thread on this forum to read exactly like this. If you have a car with a remote kill switch installed READ THE CONTRACT.

I didn't add one thing to this car, I didn't add the GPS killswitch the finance company did. Car alarm/remote car starter I thought came with the car, if it was added afterwords I wouldn't know anything about it. By the book, there tech doest even know what a car alarm and remote starter box is, he says he finds to gps systems in the car. Last night he found another. So a total of 3.. The key to this whole thing is I didn't have a problem until the company did something while they were working on my car.

Its not the remote kill switch that is doing this, because they ripped out the car alarm and auto start. Then said the car started and blamed it on the two (gps) systems which they didn't take one of them out. So the car ran with the gps system. I talked to the gps place they are still getting a hit I guess so its active and not defective. The dealership still believe it is. They now says it starts but wont move. No power to the TCM I guess. So now there trying to figure that out.

The finance company has a gps dept, that sends signals and tells you how to troubleshoot.

Just a thought; Does the car run if the hood is open only or closed only?

Reason to ask is, if you had an after market theft or remote start installed there would be a hood sensor switch somewhere that disables the engine and/or starter if the hood is open, all of that mucking about with wiring could have messed that up. And the GM mechanic would not know anything about it.

A valid point Don, and everything keeps pointing back to all the non-OEM aftermarket crap installed on that poor HHR.

Im not sure, they said it starts now. Just the TCM is bad now I guess. Which makes no sense to me considering it was driving accourding to them 2 days ago.
