Not so perfect

changed out my air filter today and found that my new to me 07 HHR LT has a broken air box bracket. where do i get a new on or do i need to get one from a junkyard
or dealer?

Being it's a kinda flimsy bracket anyhow, I'd beef it up & you won't need to buy another..

Cool, if he 'fishplates' it & welds that, it should NEVER be an issue again.

FWIW, I bought a brand new one from gmpartsdirect dot com and have not had a problem with it. Like $20. I did buy two, in case I wanted to reinforce it with the second, but there has been no need.

Yes but IIRC this is the 2nd bracket yours broke..

The 1st one that came on it was stock. the replacement one I got, was from another member and had already been under stress of use for nearly 80,000 miles on their vehicle. This last replacement was bought from gmpartsdirect dot com to fix. Still have the other one. Not being used. Keeping it just in case.
