On today's vehicles if the vehicle engine designers thought something else was better-they would have had it in there. The newer ecotecs run the best with OEM-like the motor was designed around them. Why waste your time & money.

Spark Plugs
I am going to add to this thread. I have a 2006 HHR 2LT with 107K miles on it now. Sometime around 75K I took out 4 AC Platinums and put in 4 AC Irridiums. The car ran worse on new Irridiums than with the old Platinums. I checked and re-checked the numbers and the plugs were correct for the application.
I decided to try E3s since I had nothing to lose. They are still in the engine and on a 740 mile one way trip I averaged 31 mpg figured with long division.
I am a believer in OEM AC spark plugs. I just didn't like the way the car ran with the Irridiums in it.
