Options for Front Wiper Blade Replacement

For those looking to replace your front wiper blades I've found the following options available for 2006-2009 LS:

1. OEM Blade insert PN 25892080 Price $8.00 dollars each at Chev

2. Bosch ICON 418A & 418B (Note Bosch has discontinued them). Currently on sale with a $15.00 Rebate through Bosch. Bought some at PepBoys for $12.00 dollars and put in for $15.00 dollar rebate. After rebate I make $3.00 dollars on the deal.

3. Have not confirmed but I believe TRICO 45-170 refills will also work with OEM Blades.

I know there are others, but just thought I'd share what I've found so far.

Has anyone been able to find the blade refills (not the entire blade), I just went to 4 places to buy refills to cut down for the rear wiper and nobody had any refills.... Only complete blades.

P.S. bought the Bosch Icons last year and they work great. Put the Tricon (beam type) on wifes car and really can't tell the difference except that the price was much better.

Michelin blades

I was shopping for blades myself not long ago. The Rain-X blades looked cool, but the Michelin were a lot less and I figured they knew a thing or two about rubber. I wasn't disappointed, the blades are the best wipers I've ever had. The 18 inch frame-less wiper is great in the snow and ice. Turns out they are made by Pylon who have been making wipers a little while. They look a little unusual without the frame but I'm used to them now. I love them enough that I'm going to put them on my other trucks.

anyone tired the Peak blade style? They had them at sams for $10 each which is a lot better then the $18 each for rain-x latitudes.

Too many blades and too many designs and not enuf they actually work well enough to justify the price....and why is it the factory blades ( read = original off the showroom floor) seem to be the only ones that last a decent length of time..the rest seem to only last 1 year.....and just exactly where does that sock disappear in the washing machine??
