Question relative to transmission fluid
#11
My point is: if you ask the guy at the counter what to get he will look in the book and it says Dex III and ignore the footnote that says GM changed the recommendation to Dex VI for all modern automatic transmissions.

I pour in 3 to 4 quarts , then start it up and put it through all shift points to open and close solenoids, with my foot firmly on the brake pedal, then pour in the rest of the 7 quarts. This ensures it fills up and let’s out air pockets, I then take it for a slow drive around the block, then double check for leaks.
