Radiator hoses, 1st design or 2nd design? 2006 HHR 2.4

I am thinking of replacing the radiator hoses, heater hoses, and oil cooler hoses on my HHR since they are over 10 years old (car manufactured September 2005) and it has 217k miles on it now. It was flushed about 4.5 years ago. The question I have is when looking at hoses I see 1st design and 2nd design on some. Which should I get? Thanks.

Interesting, never knew this. But with your date of manufacture, I'd go with 1st design. I'll add that I noticed on many newer models, they had a silver looking radiator and mine was black (viewing through the grill).

Any pic of the 2 designs? Might just be a bend adjustment.

I didn't see any difference, and the parts store only asks, "With or without oil cooler" when you get them. Rock Auto and other sites shows both ways, and it looks like the the ID is different.

I would imagine
With the oil cooler would be first ,
Without the oil cooler would be second!

Wait, I will not get them in time, so back to the drawing board. Expedited shipping will not get them here until the 17th.

The reason for with and without is because with there is a tee in there for the oil cooler hose to come off of.
