It's NOT a matter of being an adult. When posting links or references to other HHR forums (among other things) they are suspiciously deleted by someone.

Oh, I see... we can delete links from other forums, but when it comes to maintaining this site, it's a different story?

Just askin'.

Not my decision. But it is done on other forums I participate on.

However, if you take a front wheel off you can SEE the bushings. They are the thingies holding the bar-like thing-a-ma-jig down to the framey looking thing. One on each side. The rubber part has a slit in it so, it just slips on/off, then tighten the bolts (looks like 10mm,not sure)!

I looked up the parts and found so many different options. Since I am at work and cannot measure this vehicle, but would like to order now. Does anyone know for sure which length would be on an 06 with the FE1 suspension? It's an LT1.
Rock auto lists 4 different lengths plus one for the FE5 (which it is not) :
9.98" center to center
11.80" center to center
333mm (which converts to 13.11") but does not specify center to center
281mm (which converts to 11.06") but does not specify center to center

OK so I had previously thought that my '07 1LT (presumably with the FE1 suspension) would use the 11.8" end links, however, I just measured mine (to check, turn the wheel all the way to the right and check within the exposed left wheel well for that thin metal pipe with two round ends, coming down vertically, attaching at the bottom to the swaybar end) and it is the 9.98" (MOOG PART# K750012). Now I have to try and return the 11.8s for the 9.98s....FML.

I got a great deal on the 12" ones, so I just went ahead with them. One side sometimes rubs the control arm, but I think new bushings will fix that. In a couple of weeks, I'll report back. NOBODY on this forum would provide a performance related argument for one size or the other.

Yeah, it's all still "up in the air" as to what the two lengths do and which cars had them.....

That's the one hrry, I measured and it was a tad under 10" (center to center) So I used the MOOG part number you provided and ordered them. Looking forward to installing them and getting rid of the clunking!

I just replaced mine last week. Ordered the Moog 12", pulled the first wheel off, and found the 10" on mine. So, I put the wheel back on, ordered the 10", and returned the 12".
The old ones did not have a backing nut, so I had to grab and hold with vice grips-pain in the butt-they kept slipping. Also, while I was putting the zerks on the new one, the tension bar moved up, so the new one was about 2" too long. I had to get a pry bar to pull/pry the tension bar down so the new link would fit.

Anyway, that annoying THUMP, THUMP, THUMP is gone!
