replacing sway bar links

I see a lot of talk about needing an alignment or not after replacing a strut.
YOU DO NEED ONE!
It is impossible to get the camber right and with out proper camber you will chew through tires.
Yes it is set up in the top but not down at the knuckle.

Huh?? There is NO provision either at the top or the knuckle for camber adjustment!

And, without ANY method of adjusting camber, the only solution is those eccentric bolts.
Also, how does and of your posts relate to the original topic of sway bar links?

THE ONLY STOCK adjustment on an HHR front end is the TOE!!! The camber and caster are pre-set by the strut tower at the engineer's draftboard, before it ever gets to the assembly line. If the caster or camber are out of spec, the a frame pull is called for, and the only reason to muck about with the camber is "other than" stock size wheels. This is one of the reasons the manufacturers adopted the McPherson Strut. Please put your "logic" hat on, this was not meant as a flame.

JoeR - oh man, you know that EVERYTHING you read on the internet is true don't you?
Does "a clue" come in boxes, bags, or bottles? - never seen it on a shelf anywhere, so not sure what it looks like.
