Service Manual

Can anyone tell me if the service manual for a 2006 HHR is the same as the service manual for a 2009 HHR?

There are differences, especially in the sections relating to the engines and electronics due to the adoption of VVT and Flex-Fuel capability on the 2009 and later model years.

I just bought an older 2006 Dealer Manual at a great price ($50 and included shipping) and didn't mind that it was not for my 2009ls. 2009ls difference may show extra electronic controls for the VVT Motor, possibly different symptoms & fixes, door window switches, no patch under wiper cowl, other small differences. Otherwise it should be close. For the price I bought mine for, I don't mind goggling the missing info or of course using the extensive wealth from all on this site!

I am asking because I bought a manual that was supposed to be for the 2006 - 2009 on cd. It appears to be correct for a 2006 in pdf format. It is approximately 5000 pages, I have a lot of other manuals in pdf format and this appears to be all there. As I said it appears correct for a 2006 but was advertised as 2006 thru 2009, and that it is not since there are the differences yall mentioned. Since I am only in it for about $10.00 and I can make a lot of use out of it I guess I didn't get hurt too bad. Would everyone say that is a pretty fair estimate of the situation?

Take a look through the CD for 2.2 VVT Motor. If it's in there your are way ahead. If not don't despair. $10 bucks ain't bad for 06 info. Like I said-the rest you can pick up here when you have an issue the manual doesn't cover.

Yeah, for $10 you still have tons of valuable info, and if needed, the VVT sections are out there.

Thats pretty much what I figured after I saw what I had. Thanks guys. I guess I won't burn the guy down in the feedback I leave him on eBay since it is useable.

That's not a reference to an infringed copy-write is it? Could of found it for free elsewhere on the internet. Just Google the title of any book in question.

Free is always better, I did Google did not find what I wanted. As to your copywrite infringment comment, I don't know anything about that nor do I want to know.

Try adding "torrent" to your search.
