Use the search tool. The answers are here. "TPMS" for a search phrase.

so, can i buy 4 ordinary stems and have them put in, i just have to deal with TPS lighting up? i don`t care for being ripped off by tire shops. i didn`t realize when i got the car i needed tires that cost 50bucks each more than a "regular" tire.

You can get replacement sensors on line for less money if you shop a bit. Also if you need just the valve stem they can be repalced without replacing the sensor it's self. The sensor and valve stem are attached together by a small pilips head screw.

You can get the valve stem for the tpms on gm parts direct for about 5.00. You can get the complete sensor with the stem for about 30.00 I would not just remove them because the tpm light will alway be on. Some people do not like the Tpm system I myself like the system and its works well I enjoy seeing what my tire psi are with a push of a button. My car is and 08 and I have only had to change one sensor so far. They are as scary as some tire shops make them out to be and if you shop for parts and don't mind waiting for parts to be shipped to you the prices are not bad.

NO difference in tire with or with out a TMPS, If your told you have to spend 50$ more per tire then you are getting a reach around by the dealer.. BUT if the 50$ extra is for the tire with New TMPS then that is not too bad a del!

I guess it's too much trouble to use SEARCH? I guess adding one more thread to an over bloated subject does no harm, except to someone that DOES use the SEARCH and gets an overwhelming response and can't wade through all of them.

I got 14 pages of threads regarding "TPMS". Oh, and all of these answers are there repeatedly.
