transmission dip stick is lost.... I think

to the forum haas711!
As stated by Greybeard, the 4T45E automatic trans in the HHR does not have a dipstick, consider it a sealed unit until you reach the specified service interval in your owners manual. It does take some getting used to, but unless you have a puddle of fluid under your HHR, the trans is one thing less to check.

Dear haas711,
I would have to agree with many members of the forum about the transmission dip stick. 843de has provided you with some very useful information that you can also read in your owner's manual.
This is the type of transmission that you do not have to check the fluid levels and if you feel that you are experiencing something abnormal with it or you notice a leak, get it into the dealership.
Sincerely,
Michelle, Chevrolet Customer Service

Dipstick Dearth
Guys,
I have a Caddy CTS and it too has no dipstick. Some BMWs have gone to this because: a 3 series uses a GM made 6L45 trnasmission made at a GM plant in France (like the 6L50 in the Cadillac)
