Unknown Oil Leak

Well I must have some sort of oil leak in my 2007. But I don't know where the oil is going. There is no oil on the ground. And my oil was changed sometime in the last 4 months or so.

How can I determine where the oil is going? I know my BF said the oil pan looked pretty beat up and repaired when he was under the car previously. I personally hate getting under cars. I think it stems from having a boat and boat trailer fall off a jack and onto me earlier this year and messing up my foot for months. I am sick of medical bills this year and car repairs. 💸💸💸

Ronnie- Bummer about your boat accident on your foot.

What does your anti-freeze look like ? Hopefully not like a milkshake, cause that would be oil in the Dex-Cool.

Oil slinging out the crankshaft seal doesn’t leave any drips on the driveway, it slings out after you leave and rev up the engine to highway speeds. Look for residue on the front cover over the timing chain.

You could also do a compression test.

Sooner or later it will.
Oil goes down not up. (gravity thing).

Put a rubber cap on your head and with your BF look under the car.
Try, it isn't hard to do.

Thanks...not sure how I managed not to break it. But still had to wear a boot for a month so it could heal properly.

I checked the antifreeze....it looks good! ✔

I am going to have to wait until I have a day off before I attempt pulling off the timing chain cover. It seems no matter how simple a task is supposed to be...I always have some sort of issue. I have learned my lesson.

Well my boyfriend lives 2 hours away so that ain't happening today. I ain't afraid to get dirty I was under my Dodge Charger numerous times before it was totalled. The Charger just seemed to have more clearance for my body parts. The higher I raise a car now the more leary I get. I need to see if the ex took the ramps. 🤔
