Pump is definitely working fine. Starts up fine but goes into limp mode after several minutes. Functions/movs in all gears.

"General Engine Fault" then why suspect the fuel pump? The code might be useless to you, the Cheap scanner might not give tru meanings of codes, usually just corrupted translations of the TITLE of the OBD test.
Didn't you read the rest of the thread you cited? The post that mentions the "pass through" thing has a picture of what he is talking about and a description of its location.
The message on the DIC is telling you that the computer has reduced engine power, not that something has reduced the power. Usually that is because the computer is not getting the info it needs.

2011 LS so a 2.2 litre, suddenly the notice of reduced power, stopped running.

Things to look for…..
can you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key on?

If not , it’s the fuel pump

that code… may seem ridiculous to you but please post it here it maybe a clue to the cause.

if you’re able, remove the valve cover , is the timing chain loose?

are the fuses and relays firmly pressed into their place in the fuse box?

It is not "noticed reduced power" It is "REDUCED ENGINE PWR" message on the DIC. That usually has something to do with the throttle position sensor.

When I got that message it turned out to be a bad injector, dumping fuel into a cylinder. You could smell the raw fuel out of the exhaust.

At the time that it went into limp mode, it only had a code that seemed to be indicating a problem with the High Pressure Fuel Pump. By the time the mechanic was diagnosing, it also had another code, I think it was a misfire. And the aforementioned smell.

Just the facts! Pictures are nice too! Next time I’m under the BlackSwan, I’m gonna put some dielectric grease there. Preventative maintenance!

Several comments since seem to have not noted this comment. I think maybe the last comment might be what he was talking about? -

I noted it (#12). The last post is the least likely solution; it was caused by a leaking Igloo cooler. However, the same applies to the TB connector and all other connections.
