when i got to frankenmuth with the family the ladies go over to bronners and the guys go over to Black Forest for a few beers.

Other then that, I don't know what. What festivals do they have going on. I only know of Octoberfest and the snow festival.

Had an incredible one there last year, which i could get it year round. 9% abv. and tasted amazing.

So, if people were to go camping, how would you do it? In a tent?

Don't own one. Maybe Chris and I can try out the back of the HHR?

Hmm... well I was just still thinking.

There's the Bay City State Park in Bay City, MI...which is about 20-25 miles north of Frankenmuth. It's a really nice campground, with plenty of photo ops! There would be some stuff to do probably in Bay City (again, great city for photos), and it's only about a 20 minute drive down to Frankenmuth, so everyone could go to Bronner's or, eat lunch at Zehnders and Bavarian Inn and whatnot.

I think state park rates are fairly reasonable, but you might have to have a tent...I'm not sure. But they would have showers and bathrooms there, so that takes care of that problem.

I'm determined to get a Frankenmuth (or surrounding area) meet together!

Actually, the park does have some mini-cabins....

What do you guys all think about that idea? Camping up in Bay City? Like I said, Frankenmuth is only 20 minutes away... It says that rates are between $19-$21 per night.

Here is a link about the cabins:

It looks like Bay City has two of those cabins.

I was sad to see this one go. I had a great growler of a hefe in it and a mini keg of their pilsner.

For good "mugshots" like the giant beer stein, I have a 2 litre boot on the top of my fridge from a great german place in new york. Nothing like 2 litres of beer to say Guten Tag!
