Well the drive in can be taken out of the options. It will not be reopening for the 2009 summer. Very sad to hear this since I have went there for almost my entire life. Still one on US23, but it is for sale, and won't last long. I have one down here in Indiana to hit up this summer, we'll see how it goes.

Yeah I read that in the Flint Journal a few days ago...

Like you said, we could still go to the one on Fenton Rd. (US23)...it's still going to be open this season...

Kevin, they are referring to the Drive In in Michigan not Ohio

Well it really wouldn't matter when, other than summertime.

We could all meet up somewhere before hand (doesn't matter where) and cruise in together. Once we're there we can tour the village and ride the train and/or boat. Both the train and the boat are about 30-45 minutes each I think.

Then afterwords we could all cruise somewhere to eat or something. I know you guys are doing Sonic in Toledo, but there is a Sonic in Flint too... You wouldn't have to eat in the cars since it's summer...they have tables outside too.

We could probably meet somewhere for lunch first, then do the village, then get dinner.

How does that sound? Like I said, a date doesn't matter too much yet. We could do it any day of the week/weekend too.

We have a premier event in Charleston WV called the Rod Run and Doo Wop. It will be held from Oct. 1-4 2009. It attracted Dennis Gage from My Classic Car Tv show last year, Also last year they had over 600 vehicles.

If any of you are in the area it's a great time as it is set on the river banks of the Kanawha River. They actually close down a 4 lane highway for about 3-4 miles to show the cars on.

If interested, shoot me a PM and we can meet up. If not I'll be there anyways!!! Gonna try to enter my 90 lx 5.0 convertible Mustang this year.

That's only a couple of hours away and sounds like a pretty good show. Shouldn't be a problem with me making it.

Frankenmuth has the "Auto Fest" coming up September 11th-12th... Just an idea. I will be putting my truck in it this year.
